The Elevator
A downloadable game for Windows
Having moved frequently as a child, my connection to "home" often felt distant. I found those memories of once-distinct spaces began to blur, overlapping in unexpected ways. Often times I wonder - Is ownership defined by walls and deeds, or does it reside in the fleeting moments and emotions that make a space feel ours?
What does it mean to own a place?
What does it mean to belong to a space?
The feeling of belonging is about familiarity, the way a space wraps around us, holds pieces of who we are, and reflects them back to us. Perhaps, home isn’t where we stay but where we truly feel.
------------------------
Designing this game was like constructing my own memory palace, letting players see how the weight of nostalgia can flood a space, and trying to embody the feeling of being both displaced and connected to something larger—an exploration of what "home" truly means.
